February 6, 2024Transfer to EIIET
EIIET is happy to welcome all transfer students to campus each year, as they significantly contribute to our campus community. Most students who are satisfied with their college experience don't consider transferring to another school. Still, those unhappy with their college experience are willing to do the extra work to get what they want. And they are eager to take the less-travelled path to a better place. These qualities that transfer students possess prepare them well for college. Our open curriculum is developed for students who take unusual initiative and demonstrate unique independence. This could be why transfers routinely do so well at EIIET, both academically and socially.
Is it possible to change universities?
If you have already completed some semesters at your previous university, transfer some or all of your earned credits to your new university. If your last programme is related to the new one, then changing it to another university is possible. During the application process or enrollment period at the new university, you will have space to list the subjects for which you want to transfer the credits you earned to your new programme. In most cases, you still have to search for the desired university to transfer to, and the first step will be admission. You must apply to the university, and if you get accepted, you must deregister from your former university. If the university is in another state, the international students must inform the immigration office that they are switching universities. If the selected university is in another state, remember to register your new residential address at the “citizens’ office” called “burgerburo” in Germany. Hence, my advice is this: if you are suitable to gain admission to any German university, my dear, accept it, no matter the programme, since a change of university and course is allowable in the future. After the first semester, you can change the university and programme to your desired choice.
Eligibility Requirements for Transfer Applicants
To be eligible for transfer admission, the student must have finished at least one full year of study before their planned enrollment at EIIET. The students officially registered for two or three-year courses, which are full-time or part-time, are also eligible for this programme.
Meet with an Advisor
EIIET's advisors are there to assist you. If the students need help with financial aid, check the availability of credit transfers and all other facilities and requirements the transfer needs in the process. They will learn about the terms and policies for the transfer programmes, or they will contact the admission department if they need more information. After your enrollment, you can also meet with the advisors and ask for assistance with more services, like registrations.
Admission Procedures
Guidelines for applicants who are applying for a transfer programme.
How to Apply
You can apply for your chosen degree programme through EIIET's online portal, and all the required documents for the application process should be uploaded to the online portal. At any time, from anywhere, you can track your application process online.
Allocation of Study Place
We can only admit students to the transfer programme if the degree programme still needs to be completed. Suppose the number of applicants is greater than the institute can afford. In that case, we will consider the student's previous grade points and their performance.
Documents Required for the Transfer Programme:
- Qualification
You have to upload your documents to the online portal to apply. You may have to submit a notarized copy to enrol. - Certificates
You need to provide all the certificates. Therefore, we only accept original certificates that your higher educational institution issues. Please note that you will be immediately terminated from the application process if you submit an unofficial certificate from the student portal or something similar. - Module Portal
A module portal will let the authorities know about the projects and examinations you have finished. That's why students must provide a link to the module portal for their previous degree programme as part of their online application. The examinations and projects you have finished can only be considered in your application if the grades you have obtained match those required for eligibility to attend EIIET. - Proof of previous periods of studies
We must be aware of all the types of studies you have completed in Germany. Please provide these proofs of documents as part of your application. For example:
- Enrolment Certificate
- Confirmation of disenrollment
- Certificates
- Enrollment verification certificate
