Dr. Yosufi is a scholar and researcher, with extensive expertise in international relations, development studies, and global governance. Holding a Ph.D. in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), India.
He has developed a strong academic foundation in European foreign policy, development assistance, and international cooperation. His academic training is complemented by an MBA and BBA, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach that integrates international Relations, development assistance, international business, entrepreneurship and policy analysis.
Dr. Yosufi’s research focuses on development assistance, particularly European and German development engagement in Afghanistan, with an emphasis on aid effectiveness, policy coordination, and post-conflict reconstruction. His doctoral thesis, which examined European development assistance in Afghanistan with special reference to Germany between 2002 and 2017, highlights his commitment to understanding complex global development challenges. His broader research interests include peacebuilding, regional cooperation, and the role of international institutions in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
He is an active contributor to academic discourse, having authored and co-authored several books, research articles, and policy-oriented publications. His work has been presented at international conferences and academic forums, contributing to discussions on development, Afghanistan studies, and international relations. In addition to scholarly writing, he is fluent in seven languages and also contributed to educational resources, including co-authoring a Pashto language handbook and publishing works aimed at youth development and cross-cultural understanding in different languages.
At EIIET, Dr. Yosufi brings a combination of academic rigor and practical experience in teaching and institutional development. He has previously taught at the university level, delivering courses related to Afghan history and culture, and has been actively involved in academic coordination and curriculum-related activities. His teaching approach emphasizes critical thinking, interdisciplinary learning, and the application of theoretical knowledge to real-world global issues.
With a professional background that includes educational program development, event management, and collaboration with international stakeholders, Dr. Yosufi contributes to fostering an engaging and globally oriented academic environment. His work reflects a commitment to advancing knowledge, promoting cross-cultural dialogue, and supporting students in developing a deeper understanding of international affairs, and development challenges.
