Dr. Hui Wang is a professor at the EIIET with expertise in migration, labor markets, and global development. She holds a Ph.D. in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge, focusing on the socioeconomic impacts of migration in China. Additionally, she earned an MSc in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Economics from Queen’s University Belfast. Dr. Wang has worked with leading international institutions, including the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Geneva, the Graduate Institute in Geneva, the Hertie School of Governance, and the Taihe Institute in Berlin, where she is a Research Fellow.
Her research on development, skilled migration, and population policy has been spread throughout and presented at international conferences, impacting policy debates in Asia and Europe. At EIIET, Dr. Wang plays an essential role in advancing research and refining the curriculum. She teaches sociology and economics, contributing a global perspective and extensive expertise that prepare students for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
